Retro Cycling Gear products are developed to provide cyclists of all ability levels with materials to help maximize year-round comfort on their bikes.

Retro Cycling Gear is durable, but not invulnerable. So follow the care instructions when cleaning your riding gear to maximize the life of the product.

Washing instructions

All Retro Cycling Gear jerseys have washing instructions icons printed on the inside of the collar. Following these instructions will maximize the life of your Retro Cycling Gear.

When washing, close all zippers and fasteners, turn garment inside out to avoid fasteners rubbing against other garments in the machine, and to protect logos and prints.

When washing in warm water, the maximum water temperature should not exceed 40°C / 104°F

If you can, wash your riding gear separately so that it doesn't rub against hard fabrics such as denim or other washers.

Use a small amount of liquid detergent and avoid powder detergents or any products that contain fabric softeners, stain removers or bleaches as they may affect garment performance.

Hang to dry on a hanger or dry outdoors to extend the life of the fabric. Avoid tumble drying if possible. Do not iron.

Other Tips

After a long ride, the last thing you want to do is head straight to the laundry, but if you hang them on a drying rack, you can still prevent germs from forming on your gear. This allows them to dry completely and provide air for your next ride. If your jersey is dirty, rinse it in cold water before drying to prevent the stain from setting.

Put your riding gear in a delicate laundry bag or underwear bag to prevent the belt from getting tangled on other clothing or on the machine spindle.

If you hand wash clothes, place one garment at a time in a towel and wring out the moisture to remove excess moisture. This helps your clothes dry faster once you put it outside.
